Reading – Resignation

Letter Of Resignation:

Dear Principal Sanders,

I am writing to formally resign from my position as a middle school bus driver for West Middle School.

For many years, I have genuinely enjoyed being a part of the West Middle School community, providing a safe and reliable transportation service for our students. The smiles, laughter, and stories shared on my bus have been a source of joy and fulfillment in my life.

However, with a heavy heart, I must admit that the increasing stress levels associated with this role have become overwhelming. The behavior of some students on the bus has escalated to a point where it is not only challenging to manage but also deeply concerning. Instances of disrespect, bullying, and disregard for safety rules have become frequent, creating an environment that is neither safe nor conducive to the well-being of the students or myself.

The impact of these behaviors extends beyond the confines of the bus. It affects the students’ ability to learn and thrive, the school’s reputation, and my own quality of life. Despite my best efforts to address these issues, the situation has not improved to a satisfactory level.

It is with a heavy heart that I make this decision, as I have always been proud to serve West Middle School and ensure the safety of our students. However, I believe it is in the best interest of my health and well-being to step down from my position.

I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition and am willing to assist in any way possible during my remaining time. I want to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to serve West Middle School and the support I have received over the years.

Thank you for your understanding,

Calvin Walker
